Wordsmith Wednesday: Holiday Edition

in continuing with the theme approach for wordsmith wednesday, we thought it might be appropriate to go with a bit of a holiday theme. with hannukah beginning on the 11th, and the big old xmas coming a few short weeks after, it’s only appropriate.

so. what does that mean? anything and everything.

some examples of holiday books i’ve done in the past:

  • love
  • peace
  • joy

don’t want to give too many, because that would ruin your wordsmithing mojo. so be creative. be funny. be sweet. be angry. i don’t care! just enter the damn contest.

what exactly is wordsmith wednesday, you ask? it’s a chance for you to come up with a word that will, in turn, be put on to a loverly little recycled notebook.

what’s in it for you? the chance to be clever, snarky, witty, thoughtful, sweet, or funny. and if your word gets picked for the week, i will send you you’re very own copy. for free. as in, i’m giving it away.

oh, and in case you are an overachiever and have more than one word or idea, why not submit them all? you can enter as many times as you like, with as many words as you like.

yeah, it’s that kind of contest.

and now for the official sounding mumbo-jumbo:
the contest begins on wednesday of every week, and will end the following tuesday at midnight ET. meaning, this week the contest starts today, december 9th and ends on tuesday, december 15th at midnight ET. capiche?
