Delightful Dangles Giveaway!
i’m pretty excited about today’s item. not only because they are gorgeous. they were made specifically for you, dear readers.
so…what do you think?!
the leaf earrings are done by margaret kelly, of pretty you, and are just over 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) in total length. the brass leafs were hand antiqued by margaret, using a non-toxic method. the black flower beads at the top are pressed czech glass, and they hang on antiqued gold kidney earwires.
did i mention that they were made just for this giveaway??
anywho. when asked where her inspiration comes from, margaret had this to say:
inspirations for my jewelry come from everything i come across. i could say nature, or the people in my life, but really it is all a combination. sometime’s the pretty flowers i see when i look out my window, and all of the amazing colors that are in their details will amaze and inspire me.
nature is not always my only inspiration though- life is as well. sometimes there is just this fabulous dress or shirt that is so pretty a monster could look hot in it [not to say monsters aren't hot!]. i will say now that needs a great necklace to go with it, and create one. sometimes a friends sense of style will inspire me.
about the creative process:
i can’t really sit still for long, and get bored terribly easily. i think that shows in my jewelry because there is a huge variety of styles with the stuff i make.
